How It Started

Seeing the focus that many local schools had on improving English literacy, I figured a meaningful way to help the surrounding community was to start a book club with the resources available to me. I personally was part of a book club in middle school and loved the experience. I aimed to grow a program where students could interact and have fun with one another in unique ways and at the same time, gain meaningful experiences in regards to reading, literacy, and analysis. Furthermore, I wanted to create a diverse program not restricted to certain schools, so I welcomed students from all local areas.
